Slant 30 Autopsy

Warning Explicit Machine Photos!

Forward we will Dissect a Slant 30 / Payday CNC Chucker to show you their inner workings and help answer any questions as to the components used and the design theory.

The Machine:

  • Simple Ergonomic Design,

  • Compact: Length 64 inches, Width 45 inches, Height 68 inches

  • Machine Weight Approx 2500 LBS

  • Power requirement: 220 Volt 3 Phase 15 Amps

  • Connected Horse Power 5 AC Heavy Duty Leeson Motor

  • Sliding Door Opening 21" x 21"

  • Side window: 18" x 18"

The Skin "Epidermis"

10 gauge steel, powder coated with built in Fork lift slots.

Strong enough for 5 hp cutting yet simple to move around.

We wanted to keep the weight of the Slant 30 Elevator Friendly for those in the Jewelry business and R and D facilities located on an upper floor. We also wanted the machine to be able to be moved by a pallet jack for shops that want to use the machine as a second op machine for more than one CNC or Work Cell.

View of Z Axis Limit Switch

Some of our competitors cut cost by using software limits. Wouldn't you like the comfort of having a true hard switch rather than a maybe?

One more view of the rear of the casting.

Note the Massive Base Castings and the straight forward design.
